ADVA FSP 3000 CloudConnect platform offers ‘unrivalled efficiency’
ADVA Optical Networking announced that it has successfully completed a joint field trial of its FSP 3000 CloudConnect and OpenFabric technology in Telefónica Germany's live network. The innovative transport solution achieved disaggregated 100, 150 and 200Gbit/s connectivity over the mobile communication provider's existing 10Gbit/s line system. The high-density 1RU modular DCI technology successfully carried alien wavelengths across the national backbone infrastructure with no impact on live traffic, including error-free 200Gbit/s transmission over a 290km data path. The test demonstrated how the ADVA FSP 3000 OpenFabric creates an agile, flexible and highly scalable network, accelerating service availability and improving operational efficiency. It was conducted with the support of ADVA Optical Networking's Elite partner Axians.
Kuwait authorities crack down on illegal cable network
According to Kuwait's Criminal Investigation Department (CID), three men have been arrested in the country after successful raids in a residential area of Salmiya, where they had been operating a sophisticated illegal cable network. Smart Dubai launches new service through ‘Dubai Now’ App
The Smart Dubai Government Establishment (SDG), in collaboration with the Department of Finance and ENOC Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch a new service via its flagship Dubai Now smartphone application. The new service will be available soon and will allow customers to pay for petrol using the Dubai Now app across ENOC's retail network in the UAE, eliminating the need for cash or card payments. This reflects the key objective of offering a single platform for all government services in the UAE. The portal now offers 55 service provided by 24 government entities. This, in turn, resonates with SDG's mission to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world.
